Local Resident from Surry County Wins $250000 from Scratch-Off Game

In Raleigh, N.C., Lindy Inman of Mount Airy has claimed a $250,000 prize from a $5 scratch-off ticket.

The winning ticket, a 20X The Cash game piece, was purchased at R Stop located on West Pine Street in Mount Airy. Inman claimed his winnings at the lottery headquarters on April 9. After deducting state and federal taxes, he received $178,751.

Introduced in February, the 20X The Cash game initially offered 10 top prizes of $250,000, with half of them still up for grabs.
